Kyoezar Foundation Mini-Fund
A private and independent organization provides a mini-fund to support eligible students/youths with the fewest opportunities and who desperately need adequate funding to study and improve their academic and professional skills for higher education access and better employment.
With its capacity and first initiative, the Kyoezar Foundation will support up to 5 students/youths per cohort for two cohorts in 2025. The Kyoezar Foundation management team will open cohort 1 applications on 1 February 2025, and cohort 2 applications will be announced in May 2025. Each student and youth can apply up to 1,000,000MMK for eligible costs for the support they request.
The supports include:
Tuition fees for General and Academic English Training
Test fees for English Proficiency (IELTS, TOFEL, Duolingo)
Tuition fees for GED preparation and Test
Tuition fees for Vocational Training (Cafe` & Bakery, Tourism & Hospitality, Nurse Aid Training. etc.)
Eligibility:
Who need to improve their academic and professional skills
From rural, remote, and hard-to-access places and conflict-affected areas
Who has the fewest/no opportunities
Who wants to contribute a good course back to the community
Demonstrated financial need
Able to explain and get verified for the request support
Have a solid study plan
Able to meet up twice a month for study progress check-in or mentoring
Able to commit to finish the training they registered
Cohort 1 Application Timeline and Process:
Opening date: 1 February 2025
Deadline: 14 February 2025
Shortlisted email for interview: 21 February 2025
Result email announcement: 28 February 2025
Selected applicant final confirmation date: 7 March 2025
Orientation date: 10 March 2025
